Vollum/OHSU NGP Summer Research Program

The Vollum Institute/OHSU Neuroscience Graduate Program has a limited number of summer fellowships for students that are looking for a summer neuroscience research. The fellowships provide a monthly stipend to cover costs of travel to Portland and a housing/living expenses during the fellowship. 

Interested applicants should complete our online application and provide two reference letters.  All application materials are due by March 1, 2017.  Check out possible laboratories at by clicking on the "Neuroscience Research" tab to the left to browse research topics that are available.

The OHSU campus also has an Equity Summer Research Program specifically for underrepresented minority students.  Interested students are urged to apply to both programs as students in the OHSU-wide program can work in NGP labs.

Brandeis University's two-track Post-Baccalaureate and application fee waiver

Our program includes two tracks:    Career changer track:   A two-year course of study for students with no science background, this track starts in the fall semester and allows students to complete all necessary pre-requisites for medical school and other health professions. Finisher Track:  This track is a special 15-month program that offers students who have already completed general chemistry and biology a pathway to dive into organic chemistry.
