MS in Behavioral Health (MSBH) degree at the University of San Francisco

As the Director of the MS in Behavioral Health (MSBH) degree at the University of San Francisco, I would like to share some information that may be of interest to your pre-health students.   The MSBH degree has a unique curriculum based on the belief that "health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity" (World Health Organization). Our courses teach students about the intersection of physical, psychological and systems factors that impact health as well as strategies for addressing inequalities and inefficiencies in healthcare delivery. Our MSBH grads complete the program knowing how to use appropriate, evidence-based practices to address health disparities.   Our classes are small and taught by faculty with doctorates in social work, nursing, psychology, public health, health behavior, and informatics. From day one, students develop the skills they need to work successfully on in...
