The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) is currently accepting applications for August 2017 entry into the MS-Biomedical Sciences (MS-BioMedSci) program. The MS-BioMedSci program is a one year, 30 credit hour, non-thesis Master's program designed to enhance the academic credentials of students seeking admission to professional or graduate school. The MS-Biomedical Sciences program prepares students for medical and dental school. The curriculum includes courses in biochemistry, physiology, and microbiology taught to both dental and graduate students, as well as graduate school courses in histology, human anatomy and biostatistics, and a seminar course focused on translational research. Undergraduate Healthcare Leadership Internship (UHLI) Program through the Daniel Hanley Center for Health Leadership. The Hanley Center’s mission is to develop Maine’s healthcare workforce.  The Hanley Center is offering 16 PAID summer internships at a variety of healthcare organizations across the state.  Students should consider the Center’s mission when filling out their application, and priority will be given to applicants with strong ties to the state of Maine and an interest in practicing here once they join the workforce.  Deadline for submission is Feb 9 , and decisions will be announced in early March.
