Spanish Immersion Program for Pre Health Professionals We seek to increase the number of bilingual, culturally competent health care providers who can effectively communicate with Latino patients; improving the quality of and access to health care in the US and Canada through our language and cultural immersion program. Our program for pre health professions students is based in Guatemala and includes: Spanish language learning, lectures, activities, trips to El Salvador & Mexico, cultural competency learning and much more. Want to be a veterinarian? A Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine degree opens doors to numerous, challenging career pathways. Graduates can practice in the field of food animal production, become a companion animal veterinarian, conduct biomedical research, serve in the government to regulate human and animal food safety, or choose from a number of other professions and industries. The Enrichment Summer Program (ESP), sponsored by the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, provides academic advancement and career knowledge for undergraduate students interested in veterinary medicine. There is no fee to participate in this program. ESP is open to undergraduate students who have selected veterinary medicine as a career choice and plan to apply to a professional program in summer of 2017 for entrance in fall of 2018.
