Penn's Pre-Health Programs Customize Students' Experiences

Penn's Pre-Health Programs offer tailored courses of study

At the University of Pennsylvania's Pre-Health Programs, our students' success matters. As one of the leading medical research institutions in the country, we provide the very best in academics, research and clinical opportunities. For students who are looking to change their career path, enhance their academic portfolio or want to gain advanced skills in the medical field, our Pre-Health Programs will help them achieve their goals.

The Pre-Health Core Studies program supplies students who have little scientific background with key concepts and the rigorous training necessary to succeed in the health professional school of their choice.

The Pre-Health Specialized Studies program is for students who possess a background in the sciences, and who are seeking to bolster their academic credentials and extend their scientific studies.
Many of our students don't fit neatly into the typical sets of courses in either track, and we work with them to craft a full profile of classes needed for a successful professional school application. One of the strongest benefits of our flexible program is that students do not have to re-take a course they've already completed as an undergraduate. We provide each and every student a tailored plan based on their prior experiences and future goals.
The richness and depth of our curriculum prepares our students to stand out in a very competitive field. Take a look at our Professional School Success page and discover our impressive admission rates and placement institutions.
