Penn's Pre-Health Resources Prepare Students for a Bright Future in the Medical Fields
At the University of Pennsylvania's Pre-Health Programs, our students' success matters. As one of the leading medical research institutions in the country, we provide the finest academics, research and clinical opportunities. For students who are looking to change their career path, enhance their professional portfolio or want to gain advanced skills in the health fields, there's no place better than Penn. With our world-renowned facilities, personal advising, speaker series and specialized workshops, students are more than prepared to take their next steps in the medical, dental or veterinary professions.

Academic Advising
As the Director of the Pre-Health Programs, I oversee academic advising for all students enrolled in the program. Each student is also assigned an academic advisor at the start of the program who provides guidance in interviewing skills, resume development and the medical school application process. The Pre-Health Programs advising team is made up of dedicated professionals with significant healthcare, life science research and higher education experience. At Penn, we've designed a program that ensures our students benefit from the full team's diversity of healthcare and pre-health backgrounds as well as their powerful professional networks.

Educational Enrichment
In addition, the Pre-Health Programs present workshops and special speaker events throughout the year to enhance our students' academic and professional experience-from debating current healthcare issues to MCAT preparation and Q&A's with the deans of Penn's various medical schools.

Clinical Opportunities
The clinical opportunities at Penn also provide hands-on training in the technologies and techniques that are at the cutting-edge. In Penn's Pre-Health Programs, students can volunteer or research with The University of Pennsylvania Health System, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, The Veterinary Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine or the New Bolton Center. Experience in the field of healthcare is essential, and we offer the very best.

Linkages
For students who wish to accelerate their enrollment in professional school, the Pre-Health Programs team has partnered with some of the best schools in the country to provide linkage arrangements. Through these linkages, highly qualified students have the opportunity to eliminate the year between Pre-Health coursework completion and entrance into medical or dental school. In addition to our formal linkage agreements, the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine gives special consideration to our pre-vet students.
