Barry University's Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences is a non-thesis degree specifically designed to improve the academic credentials of science majors applying to medical, dental or other professional health schools. Whether your students need to increase their overall GPA, science GPA or their DAT/MCAT scores, our program can help them achieve their goals.
  • A majority of our graduates are successfully matriculating to medical, dental or podiatry schools in the cycle immediately following graduation.
  • Recent medical acceptances include: Albany, Auburn, Indiana, LECOM, NOVA, PCOM, South Carolina, Temple, Touro, Tufts, and USF. See more schools here.
  • Recent dental acceptances include: Boston, Detroit Mercy, Howard, Kansas City, LECOM, Michigan, Midwestern, NOVA, NYU, Roseman, Tufts, and UF. See more schools here.
  • Our Biomedical Sciences MS is accredited through 2021 by SACS and has been helping students gain admission to professional health schools for over 25 years.
  • We admit students on a rolling basis three times a year: Fall, Spring and Summer.
  • Students can complete their 34 credit hour medical or dental specific tracks in 12, 18 or 24 months depending on the strength of their application credentials.
  • Our graduates successfully gaining medical school admissions have an average GPA of 3.72 in our program and a 29 MCAT (old scale) or 500 (new scale); graduates gaining dental school admissions have an average GPA of 3.66 in our program and a 20 DAT.

Brandeis University's two-track Post-Baccalaureate and application fee waiver

Our program includes two tracks:    Career changer track:   A two-year course of study for students with no science background, this track starts in the fall semester and allows students to complete all necessary pre-requisites for medical school and other health professions. Finisher Track:  This track is a special 15-month program that offers students who have already completed general chemistry and biology a pathway to dive into organic chemistry.
