CMSRU Advanced Premedical Studies Post Baccalaureate Program
The Post Baccalaureate in Advanced Premedical Studies at CMSRU is a flexible academic enhancement program offered through
Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) and Rowan Global. Courses are led by expert faculty and build upon the knowledge base of the premedical core sequence from an undergraduate degree, incorporating high-level problem solving and teamwork. Students will engage in a fast-paced hybrid curriculum that combines online sessions with active learning modalities, augmenting the learning skills they will need in order to excel in medical school.

    The 15 month program curriculum consists of 27 total credit hours, with 6 science courses (18 credits) in topics such as Cell Biology, Pathology and Human Genetics, plus courses in Medical Ethics, Public Health, Psychology and Sociology. MCAT preparatory course are incorporated at no additional charge, with full-length sessions for the sciences and verbal reason sections offered.

    The inaugural cohort starts with orientation on May 25th and classes begin the first week of June 2016. Applications are currently being accepted from February 1st to April 15th. Apply via our Rowan Global website: click here.
    For admittance to the program applicants must:
    • have a BA or BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0
    • have completed 2 semesters of college biology with lab; 2 semesters of college chemistry with lab
    • Optional coursework: 2 semesters of organic chemistry with lab; 2 semesters of general physics with lab
    • have a reported MCAT score (no minimum requirement)
    • submit a personal statement describing the pathway towards medical school (please limit to 1000-1500 words)
    • submit 2 letters of recommendation from professors or academic advisors
