Webinar - online prerequisite courses?

The MGH Institute of Health Professions recently hosted a 30-minute webinar about taking prerequisites online, as we get many questions from prospective health profession students about this topic. If you or any of you students would find it helpful, here is a link you can use to view the webinar recording at any time.

Some brief details:

On January 5, 2016 Dr. Lynn Foord, Director of our Prerequisites for Health Professions Program, hosted a live 30-minute webinar for students who need to take prerequisites as they prepare for graduate school in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Osteopathic Medicine, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, and other health professions.

During the webinar Dr. Foord:
·     Discussed important things to consider when enrolling in online prerequisite courses like Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Exercise Physiology, Microbiology, Nutrition, Physics, Psychology, and Statistics.
·     Explained what it’s like to take an online lab and answered questions about "virtual" labs.
·     Briefly outlined which courses are required for the graduate programs at MGH IHP and described our program.
·     Answered many common questions from the 18 prospective health profession students attending the webinar.
