The Master of Science in Anesthesia Program at Case Western Reserve University

Got this email this morning:

Happy new year! I hope 2016 is treating you well. If you've got "on the fence" seniors looking for a demanding clinical master's program with the best job prospects around, please, read on.

Certified anesthesiologist assistants (CAAs) work in the operating room every day providing hands-on anesthesia care to patients. This profession provides great work/life balance. Clocking 40 hours a week, CAAs begin their careers at $135K. Yes, that's the starting salary. Best of all, 100% of the class of 2015 were employed before they graduated.

The Master of Science in Anesthesia Program at Case Western Reserve University is a two-year, 24 month program which begins once annually, at the end of May. This week we re-opened our application for prospective students who meet our admission criteria or who will do so upon graduation at the end of this semester. We will accept applications now through February 1 for the incoming class of summer 2016. Feel free to share this email with students you think may have interest.

To apply during this brief window students must:
  • have, or will have, a bachelor's degree by end of spring term 2016
  • have completed 10 prerequisite courses with grades of B- or higher
  • have an MCAT score of 493 or better (20 or above on the old exam)
  • have a GPA of 3.2 or above (to be competitive)
Anyone not meeting the above criteria is welcome to apply in April for the incoming class of summer 2017. We welcome inquiries and visits at our 3 sites year round. Please contact us for more information!
