Join the GESI program and spend your summer working with communities abroad, gaining professional experience, and working to create sustainable change in collaboration with local partners. There are still spaces available for you at the GESI sites in Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Kenya, and Uganda.
GESI is a unique, credit-bearing program that combines service-learning, study abroad, cultural immersion, and invaluable international work experience at dynamic, community-based organizations. Our sites offer incredible opportunities for students interested in public health, preserving the environment, microfinance, human rights, education, and more.
Through GESI students gain professional skills while working in vibrant international settings and earning course credits. By participating you will:

Brandeis University's two-track Post-Baccalaureate and application fee waiver

Our program includes two tracks:    Career changer track:   A two-year course of study for students with no science background, this track starts in the fall semester and allows students to complete all necessary pre-requisites for medical school and other health professions. Finisher Track:  This track is a special 15-month program that offers students who have already completed general chemistry and biology a pathway to dive into organic chemistry.
