the GESI program and spend your summer working with communities abroad,
gaining professional experience, and working to create sustainable
change in collaboration with local partners. There are still spaces
available for you at the GESI sites in Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Kenya, and Uganda.
GESI
is a unique, credit-bearing program that combines service-learning,
study abroad, cultural immersion, and invaluable international work
experience at dynamic, community-based organizations. Our sites offer
incredible opportunities for students interested in public health, preserving the environment, microfinance, human rights, education, and more.
Through
GESI students gain professional skills while working in vibrant
international settings and earning course credits. By participating you
will:- Gain project management skills
- Experience professional teamwork and collaboration
- Develop expertise in cross-cultural communication and leadership
- Learn non-profit management, marketing, strategy-setting, and more
