Creighton University Physician Assistant Program

Creighton University has exciting news to share. We are developing a Physician Assistant (PA) Program!

Founded in 1878 and located in Omaha, Nebraska, Creighton University is one of 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the US. The Creighton University School of Medicine is proud to announce its plans to add a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree.  The PA Program will join Creighton’s outstanding lineup of established health professions education programs in Medicine, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Nursing.  The program will be only the fifth PA program situated in a Jesuit institution in the US.

Creighton has gathered a group of experienced PA educators who collectively draw upon nearly 30 years of education experience and more than 63 years of clinical experience as PAs to build a program of excellence. Rooted in our Ignatian heritage, we aim to create a unique educational experience that will empower students to realize their full potential through a commitment to personal growth, service to humanity and dedication to exemplary patient care.

Creighton University has applied for Accreditation - Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Pending achieving successful accreditation at the March 2019 ARC-PA meeting, we anticipate matriculating our first class of PA students in August of 2019.

NOW is the time to encourage and prepare your pre-PA students to apply to Creighton! Our program offers your students the unique opportunity to continue their education at a Jesuit institution. The Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA) portal will open in April of 2018 for our inaugural class.

For more information about the developing program, please visit our website at www.creighton.edu/pa-program.  To arrange an appointment to speak with someone about the program, please contact us at pa.admissions@creighton.edu.

Sincerely,

Stephane VanderMeulen, MPAS, PA-C
Program Director
