Spanish & Medicine students prepare for an afternoon of shadowing.

Spanish & Medicine Abroad prepares premed/prehealth students for America's demographic realities and modern healthcare's language gap crisis.
(Did you know the USA has more Spanish speakers than Spain?)
  
The 4 week program provides:
  • Rapid advanced of language skills through Spanish immersion
Note: credit transfers to most American colleges
  • Field experience via shadowing in South American clinics & hospitals
  • Cultural empathy development by living with a local host
PLUS variable start dates to conveniently fit semester AND quarter schedules
Sessions are limited to 25 participants.
Applicants must:

1) Have completed at least one collegiate academic year before start date

2) Be willing and able to spend at least 4 weeks away from friends and family (and the comforts of home)
3) NOT already be fluent in Spanish (students may enroll as Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced)

Our program includes two tracks:    Career changer track:   A two-year course of study for students with no science background, this track starts in the fall semester and allows students to complete all necessary pre-requisites for medical school and other health professions.
