For those with a limited science background, the decision to join the health field may seem daunting. However, Penn's Pre-Health Core Studies program gives students the individual guidance they need to thrive.

Penn's Core Studies 2-year timeline allows students to:

  • Expand their academic transcripts

Students with some prior science coursework may qualify to start in the summer term and complete the program in one year.

Our program includes two tracks:    Career changer track:   A two-year course of study for students with no science background, this track starts in the fall semester and allows students to complete all necessary pre-requisites for medical school and other health professions. Finisher Track:  This track is a special 15-month program that offers students who have already completed general chemistry and biology a pathway to dive into organic chemistry.
