For forty years, the Postbaccalaureate Program at Bennington College has prepared students with strong, liberal arts educations for the science requirements of medical school. Our innovative approach features small class sizes, discussion-based learning, and a seven-week Field Work Term. Do you know a student who doesn't fit the big school-profile? Bennington may be the place for them. The Bennington Postbac Program A fully immersive, one-year program to help students quickly build their base of knowledge, with enough flexibility to pursue passions outside the classroom. A nearly 1:1 Faculty-student ratio, with classes led by practicing scientists who make time outside the classroom to ensure individualized attention. An online MCAT Prep - included with the cost of tuition - customized around each student's academic needs and schedule. A Field Work Term that provides time away from the classroom to gain concentrated experience in clinical settings, research labs, or other areas of interest. Our students also use this time to study for the MCAT, prepare their medical school applications, and visit schools. A bucolic campus setting with access to Vermont's fall colors, winter sports, summer festivals - and affordable cost of living.
