The MAT is a two-year, 62 credit professional program that prepares students for national certification in athletic training. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

Our graduate curriculum is designed for optimal hands-on learning and comprehensive clinical experience that is integrated into the curriculum. Students work with a variety of patient populations. Students work with a variety of other health care professionals in many interprofessional opportunities throughout the program. Students study Gait Analysis in our Motion Analysis Lab and participate in research in our Exercise Physiology Lab.

Applications are being accepted now for the 2018 cohort! Prerequisite course work includes: Human Anatomy, Human Physiology (or A&P I and II), Nutrition, Statistics, General Psychology, and First Aid/CPR certified. Applicants must have a minimum of 75 observation hours under the direction of a certified athletic trainer. The complete application can be found online.
