University of Oxford one-year Master’s degree

Dear Dr. Patterson,

Our one-year, full-time course combines traditional and molecular radiation biology principles with clinical applications. This established multidisciplinary course covers radiation biology, related radiation physics and chemistry in the context of clinical radiotherapy as well as carcinogenesis and radiation protection. The course is delivered by world-leading academics and clinical scientists and is complemented with tutorials, practical sessions and a 5-6 month research project in an internationally competitive research laboratory.

Over the last 10 years we have had a significant number of successful MSc students go on to study medicine in the US. Indeed, last year 50% of the students applied to study medicine in the US and all were successful. The combination of taught (5 months) and research project (5-6) months within an internationally competitive research laboratory, has also provided a successful stepping stone for many of our students to a PhD.

Applicants submitting before the deadline of the 10th January 2020 will also be automatically considered for University funding.
